Hazel Pauline Pierce

Hazel Pauline Pierce, 83, of Kingston, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, in Harriman Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born April 7, 1929, in Kingston and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid gardener who loved canning, as well as cooking the many things she harvested. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Pierce; parents, James and Sarah Adcox Crowe; brothers, Walter Crowe, Ernest Crowe and Artie Crowe; and sisters, Ethel Brezeale, Harriett Ragsdale, Vida Adcox and Elizabeth Crowe.
Survivors include son, David Pierce, Kingston; granddaughters, Shannon and Tim Bolden, Carly and Matt Harrison and Kayla Pierce, all of Kingston; great-grandsons, Timothy and Paul Bolden, Reed Cade and Knox Harrison, all of Kingston; brother, Albert and Hazel Crowe, Rockwood; sisters, Verna Humphrey, Whittier, N.C.; brother-in-law, Alvin and Becky Pierce, Kingston; sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Buddy Koon, Kingston, Shirley Medley, St. Petersburg, Fla., Betty Ladd, Juanita Pierce, Kathleen Hensley and Mattie Lou Pierce, all of Kingston, Patsy Pierce and Peggy Henley, Rockwood, and Imogene and Robert Isham, Smyrna, Ga.; a host of extended family and friends, including special nieces, Linda Townsend, Helen Wright and Peggy Littleton.
Funeral services were Monday evening, Nov. 5, in Southwest Point Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Plemons, the Rev. Ray Bearden and the Rev. Larry Bolden officiating. Graveside service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, in Calvary-Hazelwood Cemetery. Fraker Funeral Home, Kingston, was in charge of arrangements.
