Margaret Jean DeHart

Margaret Jane DeHart, 71, of Kingston, passed away suddenly Friday, March 18, 2016, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 20, 1944, in Kingston. She attended Kingston Church of Christ and was a retired social worker for the Michael Dunn Center with over 21 years of service. She was very devoted to the clients at Michael Dunn, seeing to their care as well as transporting each one to and from medical appointments.
She had also worked for 15 years as a medical coder at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Jane loved traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid UT Vol fan, especially football, where her husband played from 1963-67.
Jane was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard J. DeHart; parents, Fred Freemont Newhouse and Helen Pauline Britt Newhouse; and brothers, William Robert "Rip" Newhouse, Roy Eugene "Hosea" Newhouse and Fred Donald "Podjo" Newhouse.
Survivors include her son, Fred Douglas "Doug" Ramey and wife, Jennie Haile Ramey, of Newnan, Ga.; grandson, Charles Douglas "Chad" Ramey of Newnan; granddaughter, Anna Marie Raney of Newnan; sister, Minnie Newhouse Lincoln and husband, Jimmy, of Franklin; several dear nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much; and a host of extended family and special friends
Graveside service was 11 a.m. Monday, March 21, at Kingston Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Michael Dunn Foundation, Attn: Development Office, 629 Gallaher Road, Kingston, TN 37763.
