Carolyn, I'm so sorry to hear of your husband's death. You are to be admired as part of an elite group of our peers who remained married! Forty-nine years is wonderful and I can't imagine how you will go on. I'm sure you will find the strength somehow. Know that you are in my thoughts.

I was so sorry to hear of Al's passing. I know mama (Sylvia) thought so much of him. I had only gotten to meet him a couple of times, but he seemed to be the sweetest.

Carolyn, Tanya, Monica, Landon, Odessa and Bernice: You are in my thoughts and prayers at this great time of loss. Our loss here on earth is Heaven's gain. The reunion that Albert is experiencing right now far outweights the loss and void we all feel and he would want you to know that. Our hearts do heal in time but the good and great memories you have of him will never fade. The trumpets have sounded for Albert and he has heard the sweet voice of Jesus. He will wait on the other side of that river for you and someday you will meet him there again. Love to all. Joyce
