Alice Giunta Obituary

Alice Giunta

March 25, 1947 - January 23, 2025

Alice Lee Giunta (nee Morris), 77, of Smithville NJ and Naples FL, It is with our heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother and grandmother. Alice was born to Dorothy (nee Risley) and Robert Morris on March 25, 1947. Raised in Mays Landing, Alice graduated from Oakcrest High School in 1965. Alice married her high school sweetheart, Paul Giunta, on October 3, 1965. Within a few months, Paul was drafted in the Vietnam War. It was during this time that Alice went to work, first as a hostess at Zabers and then at Lenox China. Alice worked for many years at the family business, Shore Hardware, but her favorite job was mother and devoted wife. Alice loved arts and crafts, painting, sewing, flower arranging and feeding anyone that walked through her doors. Alice's Restaurant was always open, and you never left hungry. Remaining to cherish Alice's memory are her husband Paul; children Alison Dannenhower (Doug), Paul Giunta, Amy Rihl (Peter Frisko); grandchildren, Hayley Decicco (Mike), Arley Dannehower (Duke), Riley Dannehower, Nicholas Giunta, Vincent Giunta, Mya Rihl and Madyn Rihl; and her brother Robert Morris (Natalie). Alice was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Robert Morris; and her sisters, Joan Pansa and Patricia Mangiello.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 at Boakes Funeral Home. Visitation from 10 - to 12 with a service following. Burial immediately following the service at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation, Deborah Heart and Lung Center or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
