Annie Blair Richardson

1932 - 2006

In the early hours of the morning on November 2, 2006, Annie Mae Blair Richardson completed her journey in life and answered God's call peacefully and silently. Annie Mae as she was affectionately known to many was born March 9, 1932 and was the last remaining child of the late William and Clyde Blair. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Samuel, McKinley and Ulysses Blair, one sister, Dorothy "Dot" Brown and former husband, Harry Richardson. Those left to cherish and rejoice in the memories of our beloved Mama and Nannie include one daughter, Louise Richardson Mack of Roanoke, Va.; three sons, Curtis E. (Diane) Blair, Larry Richardson, both of Roanoke, Va. and William (Hattie) Richardson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren, Iris (Chris) Mack-Trusseu, Christie Childress, both of Roanoke, Va., Curtis (Valerie) Blair of Richmond, Va., Robert Mack Jr. of North Carolina, Marin Richardson of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Barry (Cassaundra) Jackson of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight great-grandchildren, Bryant, Briana, Kanani and Tavon Mack, Christopher, Chris'Sheyona and Michyah West, all of Roanoke, Va., Jasmine and Curtis Blair of Richmond, Va. and Keshon Jackson of Las Vegas, Nev.; devoted and special friends, Barbara Henderson, Ernestine Hodnett, Bertha Thompson and Tina Hale. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2006 at First Baptist Church, Salem with the Rev. Melton Johnson officiating.
