Arlene Banks MEREDITH

Arlene Banks Meredith, 92, of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012, at Twin County Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Posey and Lilly Webb Banks; her husband, Charles W. Meredith; and a son, Posey Euell Meredith. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Betty Lou Melton Cash, of Madison Heights, Va., and Norene and Wayne Sowers, of Hillsville, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Dawn Meredith, of Hillsville, Va.; six grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Early and Jean Banks, of Low Gap, N.C., and Tom and Lorna Banks, of Leeds, Ala.; three sisters and brother-in-law, Cosby Horton, of Fancy Gap, Va., Mary Alice Dalton, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jo Ann and Bill Sechler Matthews, of Matthew, N.C., also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Vaughan- Guynn- McGrady Chapel with Pastor David Bays officiating. Burial will follow in the Heath Banks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:30 until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heath Banks Cemetery, 950 Windy Ridge, Fancy Gap, VA 24328.
