Barbara Chapman Obituary
August 8, 1941 - April 10, 2024
Barbara McAllister Chapman, 82, of Roanoke, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, while surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Virginia McAllister; husband of 63 years, Bobby E. Chapman; sisters, Kitty Cox, Elsie McCready, and Stella Davidson.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Carla Lee Chapman Hurley, and Kelly Lynn Chapman; grandchildren, Makayla Hurley, Joseph Tanner Bailey, and Tyler Ross Bailey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends too numerous to mention.
Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her cherished family.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that Barbara loved and supported.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. and a service at 2 p.m. at Bonsack Baptist Church on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
