Cathy VerSluis, 81, of Hardy, Va., passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Deloris Barnes; her sister, Shirley Murphy; her brother, Kenneth Malotte; and her husband, Gerald VerSluis.
She is survived by her sons, Matt (Manda) and Scott (Julie); as well as five grandsons, Brendan, Cody, Caden, Cameron, and Chase VerSluis.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. She will be sadly missed. Condolences may be shared at www.Oakeys.com.

Cat was a fun neighbor and friend. I miss her joy and laughter. She was beautiful and bright and loved her "boys" and spoke of them often. Condolences to her family - she fiercely loved you!
