Charles Sell Obituary
Charles "Charlie" Walter Sell, 82, of Vinton, Va., passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Susie) Cox Sell; his children, Joe (Cindy) Sell, Ben Sell, Dan (Lara) Sell, and Sarah Sell; his grandchildren, Courtney Sell, Brad Sell, Austin Nielsen, Brycen Nielsen, Kaylee Sell, Ember Sell, and Caleb Sell; and his siblings, Doris Dooley, Bob (Alice) Sell, and Jim (Carol) Sell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ammon and Elizabeth Sell, and his siblings, Phyllis Wagner, Johnny Sell, Peggy Altice, June Dudley, Marie Wiley, Helen Hicks, and Eddie Sell.
Charlie was a graduate of William Byrd High School. He retired from Norfolk Southern and was a United States Army veteran.
He was actively involved in the Blue Ridge Lions Club and the Boy Scouts of America.

To all the Sells, we join you in fond memories of Charlie. I knew him from our time at VA Tech, and my wife, Judy, was a "Longwood Lady" with Susie. Johnny married my cousin Betty and we had such fun together at SML. Also at the many Sell/Baylor reunions. Our best wishes for all the Sells, Gods Speed. George & Judy Baylor, Waynesboro.
