March 15, 2004 - January 22, 2024
Conner Dawson Shiflett, 19, of Botetourt County, Va., passed away tragically on Monday, January 22, 2024. He was born on March 15, 2004, in Roanoke, Va.
Conner was predeceased by his grandparents, Wilmer and Mary Shiflett; aunt, Donna Watson; and grandfather, Robert Wolfe.
Conner is survived by his father, Haley Shiflett; brother, Spencer Shiflett of the home; mother, Caroline Nelson; brother, niece, and nephew, Emmanuel Shiflett, Rosalie, and Greyson; aunts, Christine Lopez and husband, Fernando, and Andrea Shiflett; uncles, Danny Shiflett, Philip Wolfe, and William Callahan; adoring grandmother, Patrice Wolfe; and numerous cousins and beloved friends.
Conner graduated from Lord Botetourt High School as a state wrestler and was working at UPS. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend. Conner's wish was that his family and friends know that he LOVED them and to cherish all of their memories.
The service has been updated. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Bonsack Baptist Church with Dr. Chris Cadenhead officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.

I am just now finding out about this devastating news. I cannot bring myself to believe it. I actually had a little crush on Conner, I wish I would´ve gotten the chance to tell him. He probably had so many secret admirers he never knew about. He was so loved. I didn´t have the pleasure of knowing him closely, but I can tell he was a beautiful soul who touched the hearts of many. Conner, may you rest in peace.

I had the honor of having Conner in my Royal Ambassador's class at Bonsack Baptist for several years. He was always a respectful, smart and wonderful student. Both of our boys became good friends with Conner and had many birthday parties and sleepovers through the years. Conner will be missed by our whole family, and we will continue to pray for his family.
