Helen and Family:

Phil and I were saddened to hear of your loss. We are sorry that we were not in town to visit or attend the service, however, you were in our prayers. Curtis was like a second father to Phil as well as all the Scouts who had the pleasure of being in his troop. The time and dedication that he gave to Scouting was remarkable and for this I am certain he earned his place in Heaven. May the good Lord guide you and comfort you in the days to come.

The world of scouting has lost a true gem. I hear stories of camping and Curtis's leadership from Seth and Eric often. I hope that one day Carson will have a leader half as wonderful as Curtis. Who knows, maybe Seth will follow in his footsteps.
Helen you are such a special lady. All to often we forget the spouse behind the leader. Without you, Curtis could not have been as influential and "made" as many young boys into strong young men. We have the picture of Seth at Jamboree that you and Curtis gave us hanging in Carson's nursery. Keeping that picure that was glued to a peice of wood to make a plaque all these years truly shows what type of spririt for scouting Curtis had.
I am not sure what a good Boy scout analogy is, but we as girl scouts would say....His blood ran green.

Dear Helen & to all of Curtis' Children,
Curtis has always been such a dear, sweet, caring, and very important man to our family throughout many years. He was as much a brother to our Dad as any person could be. We have known his kindness, patience, guidance and love forever! All of the time that Curtis and Daddy worked with the local Boy Scout organization, and for all the years that I can remember even before that, Curtis has been "family" to all of us. There is another huge hole in our hearts now, but this only means a new, shining star in heaven at night. There is also an amazing, warm and loving treasure here on Earth, and that is Helen Keith. What a wonderful, selfless, and beautiful gift you have been to Curtis throughout many years! God Bless You, and we love you all!
