Dear family and friends. My deepest sympathies go out from my heart to yours. Dale and I were best friends in high school. We entered the US Air Force together in 1974 and although distance separated us, I thought about him often and visited the store whenever I was passing through Cambria. Dale was a special kind of person who could spread friendship wherever he went. I’ll miss his smile and wonderful since of humor. May our Lord bless you and give you strength during this tragic time of sadness.

To Dale's Family: I was shocked to hear of Dale's accident. Dale and I were best buddies while in high school. We used to hunt and fish before and after school. We did everything together until our family moved to Dublin. I've thought of Dale often and kept meaning to come to see him. All of my sisters were very upset when they heard of Dale's accident and death. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. --Curtis Muncy

My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I didnt know Dale really except to wave to him on Hagan Street as your neighbor. I was always so impressed at how considerate he was in driving his motorcycle up the street. My teen daughter also enjoyed exchanging smiles and waves with him. It was easy to tell he was a kind soul.

I am so sorry to hear of your tragic loss. The entire community will miss him so much. I went to school with Dale and my late father (Curtis Parker) thought the world of him, as he did a lot of business with him at his store. He was always so friendly and helpful. I guess the good Lord only takes the best! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

During my time in Christiansburg, working "across the tracks" with regular contact Dale was always the "go to guy" for us and that continued for years afterward.
I saw him last fall after being away for several years and when I walked in the door he immediately called my name and came to greet me. I know that Dale's Family and many, many friends as well as the people of Christiansburg have suffered a great loss. I also know that our memories of Dale will go on.

We come in from time to time, and he always has a smile on his face, and really helps you find what you really need.

I haven't seen Dale in quite some time. We first met and became friends when I moved to Christiansburg to work with my father at Bane Oil Company, just across the tracks from Electrical Supply. That was 1987-89. I went to photograph Dale and his friends hang gliding off Fox Mountain and remember him as a genuine, caring, fun-loving man. I can't call myself anything more than a friend, and I only hope he regarded me the same way, since we saw each other so seldom. I had hoped to see him again, but now that will have to wait. God Bless you Dale and God Bless family and friends as you mourn the loss of a good man.

I went to school with Dale. We graduation together. Dale was one of the highlights to each and every class we had. Dale will surelly be miss. I have seen him a few times at their store,he always looked 18 years old. Cambria will not be the same without Dale.
