My sincerest condolences and prayers go out to the Prowse family. My wife never knew who he has until I told her but, she vividly remembers that tall elegant polite man she had the privilege of laughing with many years ago. May he Rest in Peace. May God bless him and comfort the Prowse family.

I met Dave back in 1996 and through the next 24 years we would send letters back and forth and visit when he'd come to the states. He was such a lovely man. Always ready with a wonderful story of his amazing career! What fun he was! I will never, ever forget him and I am so very thankful for the memories. He was a very special man and although so many remember him as Lord Vader, to me he will always be Dave, my dear friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his loved ones, friends and fans. He will be remembered and loved forever. Rest in Heaven dear friend. ❤

Dave was a good friend since 1978 and I will miss him tremendously. So many memories! When he autographed a copy of his autobiography to me, he wrote “A pleasure knowing you”. If I could talk with him one more time, I’d say the same thing to him right now. My condolences to his dear wife and family.

Whenever I watched Star Wars for the first time, he stuck out to me as Darth Vader. I began to look up to him as I go into acting. He inspired me to keep trying, as he tries to remind people it was him in the suit. When I found out he passed away, I was heartbroken. A man I had looked up to all my life has disappeared Into a better place. While we may miss him, we can be happy to know that he will always be with us, in our hearts and memories. Darth Vader was the ultimate villain, but he was the opposite. I met him once and he was so calm and down-to-earth. He spoke to me and my friend as if he'd known us for our entire lives. Thanks for the memories and for being such a great human being. RIP.

I met you and your wife in Harrisburg, PA after watching the movie, AIRFORCE ONE at a local movie theater. You were there for a SCi-FI convention that weekend. I remembered you apologized using canes due to recent hip surgeries. But what I really remembered is how kind you were talking to me. Both you and your wife were so pleasant and I will always smile when watching the Star Wars movies knowing that it was you inside the suit of Darth Vader. My sympathies to your family.
