David SCOTT Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Hillsville, with Pastor Ty Harrison, Pastor Ronnie Collins, Pastor Pam Sutherland, and Mr. Jim Woltz officiating. Burial will follow in Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local American Cancer Society, or the Blue Ridge MS Society. A guestbook is available online by visiting www.vaughanguynnandmcgrady.com. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.

david will be grately missed he was and always be one of the straight street bunch when you have lived on straight street your heart stays on straight street forever he and I and billy built a bicycle racing track where the church house is at only one of our little ventures into things and when I pass the house he liven in on old 49 I alwayse look at it to see if the black ford is in the drive way ant to me he is always home he never moved I was torn up when I heard the scotts were moving to farmer and I still remember we went fishing when he had that little foot problem did not catch any thing but we sure did have a good time it got so hot that david said he needed to go get a roc colla and a moon pie they sure were good god bless you all and david and all the scoots will live in my heart forever they were and are very special people jerry paul iris waynick paul and Gladys paul god bless

I am so sorry for your loss. He was a great person. I can remember when we were in the church youth group and we were having a spaghetti lunch after the service and David and Nell made a pledge to match what we made and didn't matter how much. I've always remembered that I thought that was such a wonderful thing to do. They always showed support for our youth group. And that was only one of the many gestures that he done. He will be greatly missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
