David Woolridge Obituary

David Ray (Wooly) Woolridge, 51, a resident of Cleveland, Tenn., and formerly of Roanoke, Va., passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 22, 2010, in a Chattanooga Hospital. He was the son of the late Mary Dunbar Woolridge and Robert Edward Woolridge. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Emma Jean Miller and Bonnie Hatcher; and his brother, George Woolridge. He had been employed for Whirpool in Cleveland for over 23 years. He had lots of friends and was loved by many. He loved country music and helping people and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his daughter, Leigh Anne Forshee and her husband, Eugene, of Delano; sisters, Margaret Miller, Connie Collins, Alice Grable and her husband, James, his twin sister, Mamie Van lew and her husband, David, Nancy Dickerson and her husband, David, and Sally Belcher, all of Virginia; his brothers, Robert "Buck" Woolridge Jr. and Harry Woolridge, all from Roanoke, Va.; and several nieces and nephews also survive. A Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted 11 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010, with Pastor David Thompson officiating. The family received friends on Thursday evening, June 24, 2010, from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes who is in charge of the arrangements.
