October 12, 1927 - December 20, 2025
Dolores Lee Harding Lloyd, a child of God and faithful follower of Jesus, went home to be with Him on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 98 years of age.
Our strong anchor of the home leaves behind a legacy of loving hospitality to church and neighborhood friends, relatives, missionaries, and business associates with a warm, generous, fun, quirky, and ever-present personality. As long-time members of First Roanoke, formerly First Baptist Church, "Dee" and her husband, Dean, were known and adored by many there.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean, and many other loved ones, she will be deeply missed by son, Richard and wife, Penny; daughter, Leah McCurdy and husband, Kevin; son, Robert and wife, Liana; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Debby Provo and husband, Bill.
Special heartfelt thanks to Brandon Oaks for 23 years of life and memories there.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blue Ridge Women's Center, 325 Elm Ave. SE, Roanoke, VA 24013 or to Child Evangelism Fellowship, 17 Highland Ave. SW, Roanoke, VA 24016.
