Eileen Helen (Stephenson) Pickett passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024. Born February 14, 1936, to John and Mary (Vogel) Stephenson, Eileen was predeceased by her siblings Mary, Eddie, Dick, Aggie, Gene and Eleanor.

September 1, 1956, Eileen wed Bill in Butler, PA, together they share three children. Son, Patrick of Albuquerque, NM, wife Susan and their two children William and Rebecca. Daughter Kelly and her husband Mike of Roanoke, VA, and daughter Mary and husband Stan and their daughter Mackenzie who reside in Chesapeake, VA. Eileen has several nieces; and nephews that have been very special to her.

In 1985, Eileen and Bill moved to Bedford, VA, when Bill was hired as executive director of the Elks National Home. Together they cared for and nurtured all the residents that passed through the door during their tenure. Eileen enjoyed her time in Bedford as a member of the Bedford Garden Club and various book clubs.

After they retired and moved to Smith Mountain Lake, Eileen and Bill were active members of the Resurrection Catholic Church in Moneta, VA, where Eileen enjoyed the Wednesday Women's Group.

The Pickett Family extends heartfelt gratitude to Carilion Hospice, The Richfield Living community in Salem, VA, and her special doctor, Dr. Steven Harris and his wonderful staff.
