February 3, 1967 - April 6, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Beth) Fariss of Salem, VA, on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Surviving to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Mark; her mother, Gloria Parry; her brothers, Roddy Carr and Keith Umberger (Leslie); her sister, Jill Overstreet (Terry); her brothers-in-law, Paul Fariss (Patty) and Keith Fariss (Nancy); her nieces, Lauren Fariss and Amanda Santy (D.J.); her nephews, Jason Overstreet (friend Kayla) and Paul Fariss III; and Jetty Dog.
May her memory be a blessing to everyone that knew her. Her strength and courage in her cancer battle was a testament of her will to live life to the fullest every day. Dream Big and Love always with your Soul. She believed in moving, smiling, and laughing throughout her day. Beth, save me a swim lane in Heaven.

I met Beth when I worked at the RVSPCA and she was on the Board of Directors. She was a bright spot amongst the dour boys in the group. What a delight to work with! She participated in many of the fundraising events and brought a sense of hard work, a love of animals, and a good time for a good cause. I am saddened by this news even though our paths have not crossed in many years. She left an impression on my heart.
