July 20, 1971 - November 26, 2024
Eric Christopher Shell, 53, of Hardy, VA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Eric was born to Clinton "Beechie" Shell and Anita "Kitty" Shell on July 20, 1971, in Roanoke, VA.
He was preceded in death by his dad; his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Eric is survived by his mother, Anita 'Kitty" Shell; and two older brothers, Todd and Mark Shell; and their extended families. He is also memorialized by his two sons, Cody and Clay Shell; and his life partner, Lisa Hale.
Eric worked for Shell's Pump Sales & Services for 35 years. He also served his community as a member of the Hardy Volunteer Fire Department for 27 years, acting as chief for 10 years. Eric enjoyed fishing and had a love for music, being a talented bass guitarist.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024, Oakey's Vinton Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Mountain View Cemetery. Pastor Terry Shaw and Pastor Todd Shell will be officiating. Condolences may be shared with his family at www.Oakeys.com.

I´m so sorry and heartbroken over the passing of Eric. He was such a great guy. I´ll always remember the years we had at church together at Maranatha Fellowship and the relationship we had. Heaven gained one of the best. My prayers to his family.
