Gary Asbury Obituary

Gary Sherwood Asbury, 59, of Knoxville, Tenn., and formerly of Max Meadows, Va., died Friday afternoon, September 17, 2010, at home. He served in the United States Armed Forces. He is survived by his spouse of 29 years, Donna; sons, Mathew and Matheas; his parents, Albert and Virginia Asbury; sisters and brothers-in-law; Linda and Fred Nester, and Kathy and Billy Martin; sisters, Darlene Vaught, Shelby Fisher, Sheila Smith, and Sherry Jones; brother, Rickey Asbury; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 22, 2010, from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Service will follow with Pastor Jim Cox officiating. Graveside Services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at the Nester Cemetery in Austinville. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
