Helene Price Seymour

Helene Price Seymour, 85, of Roanoke, departed this life on Saturday, March 3, 2012. She was born on February 28, 1927, to George and Hattie Price. Helene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steve Seymour; her parents; two sisters, Vivian Pierce and Frances Blaney; and one brother, Vance Price.
She is survived by a son, Steve (Kim) Seymour, of Maryland; a grandson, Decosta Seymour; brothers, George (Charlotte) Price, of Washington, D.C., Cornice (Lucille) Price, of Forsyth, Ga., and Lawrence Price, of Roanoke; a very special sister and brother-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs. Carl Tinsley; sisters- in-law, Signa Price, of Maryland, and Leolar Person, of Chicago, Ill.; former daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Seymour; brother-in-law, Donald Pierce, of Roanoke; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and her much loved church family at St. Gerard Catholic Church, where she was an active member serving on various committees until her death.
Helene retired from the Roanoke City Schools and from the Kroger Company. A Mass Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012, at St. Gerard Catholic Church with the Father René Castillo officiating. Interment will be in Williams Memorial Park.
