Jack Lenwood Bowling Sr., 81, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Jack was the son of the late Walter and Fannie Bowling. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Hogan Bowling; sisters, Sophie Giles, Myra Dillon and Helen Jansen; and brother, William Bowling. He is survived by his sons, Jack L. Bowling Jr., of Harrisburg, Pa., and Thomas L. Bowling and wife, Sandra; granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Gresham and husband, Kevin; great-granddaughter, Lenae Nicole King, all of Goodview, Va.; also numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010, from Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev Charles Doyle officiating. Burial to follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 9, 2010, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A very special thanks to the staff at Roanoke Memorial Hospital and especially to his good friends and caregivers at The Village at Pheasant Ridge.
