Sweetest Dot,
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. I know you are weary and broken right now, but thank goodness we have the promise of tomorrow. I remember the many stories you used to share about Jack when we worked together and I know he was a good man. Maybe he and my dad can share Navy stories in Heaven while they look down on us and wait for us to join them. I love you.

Dot, What a shocker your E-mail was to us. Even though Jack and I haven't been keeping in touch that much, I can and will feel your loss greatly. May God give you peace and comfort.

Dot,
Our condolences. We were distant friends. Enjoyed the time we spent together on the USS Henley. Liked playing ball with Jack. He was a good ballplayer.
He will be in our prayers.
It was a pleasure meeting him at work while we were traveling through Virginia. Those were good times.

Dot, Mike, Rick and Lynne, I'm so sorry about Uncle Jack. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. I keep remembering us 3 girls with our 3 daddys at the beach summer after summer. It's a wonderful memory. Love, Julie

Dot: My sincerest sympathy to you and your famly in the loss of your Jack. I have thought of you many times since we enjoyed lunches together in downtown Roanoke and wondered what changes had taken place in your life and how you were doing. My Jack and I moved to Florida in 1996 and back to Lynchburg in 2005 to be near our family. I will be praying for your comfort and peace.
