Jerry L. Dobbins

Jerry L. Dobbins, USMC Ret., of Virginia Beach and formerly Christiansburg, Va., passed away at the Brian Center, Fincastle, Va. on September 10, 2010, at the age of 70. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jane; daughters, Shelby Tudor and husband, Ed, of Bradenton, Fla.; Lesley Leonard and grandson, Logan, of Virginia Beach, Va. He is also survived by a brother, William Dobbins, of Christiansburg; niece, Cheryl Hudgins and husband, George, of Christiansburg; and three great-nephews. To celebrate Jerry's life, a gathering of friends and relatives will be held Monday, September 13, 2010, at the home of George and Cheryl Hudgins, 3477 Thrush Road, Christiansburg, from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held in Virginia Beach at a later date.
