Gerald "Jerry" Marshall Reynolds, 67, of Catawba, N.C., passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Jerry was born on November 9, 1953, in New Castle, Va., the son of the late O. Marshall Reynolds and Virginia Lipes Reynolds. He was a graduate of New Castle High School and Virginia Tech, class of 1976.

He was a free and accepted Mason, being a member and past Master of Statesville Masonic Lodge 27. On July 19, 2020, he married Yvonne Walker, who survives and together they were members of Concord UMC in Catawba. He was an avid Va. Tech Hokies Fan, enjoyed playing the piano and was a 4H Congress of Virginia Director of Talent Show for 50 years.

In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by one sister, Jackie R.S. Taylor (Glenn) of New Castle, Va.; one brother, David Allen Reynolds Sr. (Diane) of Blacksburg, Va.; six nieces and nephews, James Scruggs, Randall Taylor (Lori), Dreama Kirby (Dennis), Allen Reynolds (Kristen), Nikki Elaine Reynolds (Chris Miller), Joshua Reynolds, and 17 great nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held 1 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Concord United Methodist Church in Catawba, N.C. The family will visit with friends following the service.

Memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House, Concord UMC Cemetery Fund, New Castle UMC or the charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.troutmanfuneralhome.com.

Yvonne and Family, We were so saddened to learn of Jerry's passing. We spent many years playing with him in Franklinn Hammerr Band. We have many great memories. Our deepest sympathy to you all.
