John Lakatos Obituary
He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II in the European Theater. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
John was predeceased by his parents, Stephen and Julia (Maklari) Lakatos; his wife, Elva; five brothers, Steve, Bobby, Al, Vince, Freddy; and a sister, Ann.
He is survived by a daughter, Judy Brodsky of Jericho; a grandson, William Paluski also of Jericho; and a brother, Gabriel Lakatos of New Jersey.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 3123 Miner Farm Road, Altona.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at 11 a.m. from Holy Angel's Church in Altona.
Burial will follow in Holy Angel's Cemetery in Altona.
Donations in the memory of John A. Lakatos may be made to the American Heart Association.
