John Kendall McClung III, 55, of Roanoke, Va. passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on July 1, 1966, he was the son of Mary-Louise H. McClung and John K. McClung Jr. of Rockbridge Baths, Va.
He was preceded in death by both parents and is survived by his sisters, Kathryn I. King of Chesapeake, Va., Elisabeth W. James of Oviedo, Fla., and their families, including four nieces and nephews.
Kendall particularly loved music concerts, photography, and outdoor adventures with his friends and family.
A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 21, at 11 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Baptist Friendship House, http://friendshiphouseroanoke.org/donate/.
Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home, Buena Vista, Va.

I am saddened to read of Kendall´s passing. I met him at Friendship House. He was kind and always had a joke or a tidbit of knowledge to share. May the family find comfort today and always.
