John Parcell Obituary
January 22, 1940 - October 12, 2021
John L. Parcell passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, and joined the love of his life, Judy, in heaven. Born on January 22, 1940, to Major Carson and Annie Scott Parcell, Johnny was the youngest of nine children.
In addition to his wife, Judy and his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sister-in-law, Bill (Margaret) Parcell and Carson Parcell, and sisters and brothers-in-law, Cora (Buford) Reynolds, Anne (Billy) Parcell, Hazel (Raymond) Williams, Margaret (Henry) Fralin, Blanche Parcell and Frances Parcell. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sara (Kevin) Weterrings, Todd (Penny) Parcell and Debra (Jeff) Little. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Jonathan Parcell, Mackenzie Parcell, Tyler Weterrings, Clayton Weterrings, and Cole Little.
Johnny is also survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Parcell and many numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
The family would like to thank Cindy Blackwell, Carilion Home Health, and Carilion Hospice for the care that they gave Johnny during the last months of his life.
A private service will be held in the near future.
