Holding on, Letting Go
How does a widow ever know?
I miss the way you hold me and how I felt so safe with you. I miss the way you calmed me down, like only you could do. Whenever I close my eyes I can always see John's face. My heart belongs to him, nobody else could ever replace. When I feel sad and lost, I can hear him speak to me. I miss him so much, if only John could see. As I look into the eyes of my grandson, there's something special that I see. It's John made all over, can it really be. They say that time heals, but what does that really mean. How do you live without a man, who treated you like a queen? Some people spend a lifetime looking for what we had. John was a wonderful husband and such a terrific Dad. Sometimes I feel cheated, because he lived such a short life, but I am thankful for his love, and I was blessed to be his wife.
