L. Gaines Obituary
His surviving family includes his parents, Carrie Eugene and Linda McCulley Gaines; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dennis Michael and Robyn Diane Morgan; wife of seven years, Sara Elizabeth Gaines; four year old daughter, Morgan Elizabeth Gaines; siblings, Teresa Spangler, David Gaines, Helena Hubble, and Yvonne Gaines; and many other special family members.
A period of visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012, also in the funeral home's chapel. Interment will be private. Online condolences may be expressed at www.johnmoakey.com. The Gaines family is being served by John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, Va., 540-389-5441.

To Jayson's Family,
Most of you don't know me, but I knew Jayson growing up. We went to school together and used to play basketball in Brentwood and hang out at 'The Mall' in Covington. Even though I hate when people always say "he/she was such a great person" ..Jayson was truly a great friend and I'm sure a fantastic family man. I only wish I'd seen him more recently.. but hopefully we will all see him again someday.

I only knew Jayson for a short time when I worked in the cafe at NM, but he was a very sweet man that spoke of his wife and little girl often. He was proud of his family.
