Lacy Randolph Obituary

Lacy Samuel (Dr. Tune) Randolph Jr., 69, of Roanoke, Va., passed away Friday, September 26, 2008. He was born July 31, 1939. He was employed at Roanoke City School as a Crossing Guard until his death. Lacy was a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lacy Samuel Randolph Sr. and Beatrice Willetta Randolph; one son, Lacy Randolph III; one nephew, Kareem Randolph; one niece, Alma Paulin; one greatnephew, Prentiss Jordan. Survivors include his sister, Sarah Randolph; nieces, Holly Coleman, Ann Morris and Bea Oliver; nephews, Van (Tina) Wright, Robert Wright, Dominick Coleman, Roger (Tia Hunt) Randolph and James Paulin. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008, at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Steven Hayes officiating. The interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home. Friends will meet at 811 McDowell Ave., N.W.
