Latane Daniel Brugh Jr., 96, of Daleville, VA, was called to his Heavenly home on Sunday, September 21, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Latane Brugh Sr. and Beulah Brugh; siblings, Goben Brugh, Nobledene Bryant, and Neville Brugh; and grandson, Zachary Brugh.

Latane graduated from Troutville High School in 1946. He graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1950. He was a long-time member of Bonsack Baptist Church. He was on the Virginia Baptist Homes Foundation Board, Salvation Army Advisory Board, and the Charles Pickney Jones Library Board. He retired from WESTVACO in 1992 as the New Products Manager.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years, Anne H. Brugh; children, Stuart Brugh, Sharon Brugh (William Stull), Jeff Brugh, and Larry Brugh; stepchildren, McLauren Foster (Jim) and Benjamin Pearman, III; grandchildren, Adona Baker, Brandon Bougades, Claire Brugh, Abby Brugh, Elizabeth Brugh, Lori Gay (Michael), Cherilyn Colbert (Pete), Shaun Mundy, and Courtney Mundy; great-grandchildren, Lizzie Gibson (Derek), Tyler Baker, Danielle Day, MaKenna Day, Sierra Colbert, Harris Colbert, Logan Gay, and Levi Brugh; step-great-grandchildren, Jon Foster, Jesse Foster, Jackson Gay, and Ethan Gay; and several nieces, nephews, and other family.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Oakey's East Chapel, 5188 Cloverdale Road, Roanoke, VA 24019. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Bonsack Baptist Church, 4845 Cloverdale Road, Roanoke, VA 24019, with Dr. Robert Moore officiating.
