Margaret Young Obituary

Margaret Brewer Young

April 12, 1927 - November 30, 2025

Margaret "Margie" Brewer Young, 98, of Roanoke and Union Hall, ascended to Heaven on Sunday, November 30, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, D. Jack Young.

Margie is survived by her son, T. Steven Young; daughter, Kathy Young Eichelberger; grandsons, Austin Eichelberger (Elliot Jackson), and Daniel Eichelberger (Zoe McGee); great-grandchildren, Iris and Floyd Eichelberger; and many other beloved family members.

Margie was a world traveler who adored meeting new people and made friends everywhere she went. She was kind, generous, loving, and filled with curiosity. She celebrated each new addition to her family and embraced them all with the same vigor and joy. Her legacy of caring and compassion continues to be an example for all who knew her. She was a proud graduate of the College of William and Mary.

The family will have a Visitation on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 2 to 3 p.m., at Simpson Funeral Home (Peters Creek), followed by a Memorial Service there at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Habitat for Humanity.
