Marilyn Marie Osborne-Bach, 77, of Huddleston, VA passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. She was born on March 4, 1947 to the late Purl Osborne and Marie Sizemore Osborne. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by husband, Ronald John Bach.
She is survived by her daughters, Martha Devine (Jeff) and Lynne Bach Rourke; grandchildren, Ben Popple (Deanna), Reid Popple (Lola), Veronica Devine, Andrew Devine (Cassie), Colleen Rourke, Brendan Rourke; great-grandchildren, Landon Popple and Thomas Popple; siblings, Carol Osborne Prater, Ken Osborne, David Osborne, Don Osborne; several nieces, nephews and special friends; and kittens Abbie and Maggie.
Marilyn graduated from Georgetown College, in Georgetown, KY, with a Bachelor's degree double major in French and Business.
She was employed by General Electric Robotics and then went on to own a Marketing Business B&DSS. Marilyn was a founding member of the Proud Patriots of Smith Mountain Lake.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Proud Patriots of Smith Mountain Lake online at proudpatriotsofsml.org or by check payable to PPSML-PAC mailed to 142 Deer Creek Dr., Moneta, VA 24121.
A Memorial Service was held on April 4, 2024, at Tharp Funeral Chapel Bedford, with Mel Battista officiating. Tharp Funeral Home Bedford assisted the family (www.tharpfuneralhome.com).
