Mary Della Waldron Wingfield

Mary Della Waldron Wingfield, 90, of Vinton, Va., went to be with the Lord Friday, May 28, 2010. She was born July 26, 1919, the daughter of the late James Waldron and Nettie Hylton Waldron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Wingfield Sr.; three brothers, James, Earnest, Roy; three sisters, Gladys, Bessie, Beulah. She was a very giving person always loving and caring for others; she never turned anybody away and was so thankful for everything. Surviving are four sons, Edward Wingfield and wife, Shirley, of Vinton, William (Bill) Wingfield and wife, Darlene, of Roanoke, James (Jim) Wingfield and wife, Kathy, of New Castle, Robert Wingfield Jr. and wife, Martha, of Vinton; grandchildren, David and wife, Melissa, Michael and wife, Denise, Keith and wife, Penny, Allan, Denise Hutson and husband, Don, Donna Lynch and husband, Mark, Cindy Crouch and husband, Tony, Tim and wife, Michele; 14 greatgrandchildren; one greatgreat-grandchild; two sisters, Eleanor Webb, Marie Waldron; brother-in-law, Rufus Wingfield; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Wingfield, Katherine Wingfield; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, May 31, 2010, at Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Joseph Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Jeters Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Special thanks to Springtree Healthcare Center for all their care and help.
