Melvina "Bunny" Obenshain, 96, of Troutville, Va., passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025, with her funeral at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, both at Oakey's North Chapel, (540) 362-1237.

Bunny was not just a great woman, she was a true heroine. Not only was she an amazing nurse, but a true friend, both to my mom and me. She and mom would be out and up to shenanigans whenever they got the chance. I remember one day I came home from work, and Bunny and Mae had been to my house, then went shopping for a new door they decided I needed! Heehee She was truly the hands, feet, heart and soul of God. Im so blessed to have had Bunny in my life.
