Myrtle Camper Obituary

Myrtle Ruth Spencer Camper, 98, of Buchanan, Va., passed away peacefully Monday, December 6, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband, "Mr. A." James Clemer Camper; son, Clemer Spencer Camper; seven siblings; and her parents, Cora Ingram Spencer and Thomas Green Spencer, of Rocky Mount. She is survived by her children, Katherine Camper Harris, James Thomas Camper, and Richard Nelson Camper and their families. Mrs. Camper was a farmer's wife, a member of the Botetourt County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and an avid reader. Memorials may be made to the Fincastle Branch Library, 11 Academy St., Fincastle, Va. 24090, in support of their Book Mobile program. Memorial Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2010, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold E. Cook officiating. Interment will be private.
