O. Cronk Obituary

O. Adrian Cronk Jr., 88, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 5, 2012. Adrian was born in Roanoke on June 2, 1924, to O. Adrian and Daisie E. Cronk. A veteran of World War II, he served his country for three years in the Army Air Corps before beginning his professional career with the Boy Scouts of America, serving in Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania. On August 24, 1946, Adrian married Lottie Forbes, who, for 65 years of marriage, filled him with the greatest joy of his life. He joins her now again. Adrian is survived by his daughter, Karen Cronk Terry and son-in-law, Michael; his grandchildren, Adrian Terry and Dana Eldridge, Melody Terry Burch and husband, Aaron, and Brent Terry, all of Maryland; Joshua Forbes Clowers and wife, Beth, Dorian Clowers and Matthew Ogburn, of Virginia; son-in-law, J. Wayne Clowers; brother and sister-in-law, Glenn S. and Mary Ann Cronk; nieces, nephews, and his dear family at CommUNITY Church.
Adrian is predeceased by his wife, Lottie Forbes Cronk; daughter, Brenda Joy Cronk Clowers; and sisters, Bernice Kellam, Claudine Wood, and Christine Robertson.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. November 3, 2012, at CommUNITY Church in Salem, with friend and Pastor Tom McCracken officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Adrian's name to CommUNITY Church, 901 Russell Drive, Salem, VA 24153.

Karen, Wayne and families, words can never express how sorry I am that Adrian has passed away. He, Lottie and Karen will forever hold a place in my heart. What a great, kind, loving family you have had! My thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this time! Love to each of you!

I had the privilage of working with Adrian during the 70's and 80's. He was a mentor and true friend then and up until his passing. He will be missed greatly. My condolences to the family.
