Opal Divers Obituary
August 15, 1934 - February 1, 2024
Opal Elizabeth Craft Divers passed from this life into glory on February 1, 2024. Born to the late Jube and Bertha Craft in Oriskany, Virginia on August 15, 1934, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Wilford B. Divers, Sr. Opal is survived by son, W.B. (Charlotte), grandsons Luke and Neil Divers, granddaughter Elizabeth (Tony Fuller), great grandson Emmett Divers, and many dear brothers and sisters in laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be held at Flora Funeral Service in Rocky Mount on Monday, February 5 at 6 p.m., with services to follow at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers and food, please consider making a donation to aid those fighting cancer to: Lishy's Gift 2702 Deerfield Road Roanoke, Virginia 24015. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.

Opal and Wilford were our neighbors on Alean Road when I was growing up. As a teenager, not old enough to get a real job, Opal would bring me her ironing. Looking back now some 50 years later, I realize just how kind she was with that job. The ironing she brought me was simple things that a 15-year-old could do! I was always excited when she paid me, or I should say, overpaid me, she was extremely generous! She always said it helped her out so much, as she was a working mom. Opals kindness will never be forgotten!
