Opal Keith Obituary

Opal Owens Keith, 83, passed away Friday, November 14, 2008, at the Francis Marion Manor in Marion. She was born in Smyth County, Va. to the late James Luther and Beulah Norman Owens and was also preceded in death by her husband, William F. Keith; and her brother, Ralph Owens. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Lutheran Church for over 50 years. Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy Owens and wife, Ella, Groseclose, Elmer Owens and wife, Virginia, Groseclose; sister-in-law, Irene Owens, Groseclose; and many special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon, November 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. from the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with the Rev. Jonathan Hamman and the Rev. Ed Shaack and Brian Chaffee officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers will be appreciated or donations can be made to the Pleasant Hill Lutheran Church, c/o Brenda Atwell, P.O. Box 535, Rural Retreat, Va. 24368. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home, Marion is serving the family of Mrs. Keith.
