Randy RAKES Obituary
He is survived by his mother, Violet Mabry Rakes; daughter, Lori Rakes Church and husband, Robert Church; son, Matthew Rakes; grandson , Trevor Kessinger; brother, Sidney Roger Rakes and wife, Mary; sisters , Evelyn Foley, Carolyn Johnston, Mary Ware and husband, Joe; nieces, Angie Goad, Emily Snapp; nephews , Kevin Rakes, Donnie Rakes and Dougie Johnston; and special friend , Rosemary Caves.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Audie Arnold officiating. Interment will be at the Sunrise Cemetery, in Fairlawn Monday July 23, 2012 at 11 a.m.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the service following at 7 p.m. To send the family your online condolences, visit www.bowerfuneralhome.com.

I am so sorry to hear that Randy has passed. I went to DHS, rode the same school bus with him, and worked with him at Volvo.

I also attended elementary school and high school with Randy. It is very hard to believe that he has passed away. My condolences to the family.

My condolences to the family. I worked with Randy at Volvo for many years and considered him a friend. I did not know about his death in time for the viewing or service.

I send my condolences to the Rakes family in the loss of Randy. We attended elementary and high school together, and he was a genuinely nice guy. Randy showed his thoughtfulness by coming by my mom's home to visit her when my sister, Robin, passed away ironically on the same date, July 20, six years ago. May God comfort you.
