Wendell was a gentleman with a big heart and many skills, including resoration of a WWII jeep straight from cosmoline and invention of the FUN____ COACH. My family, including my late father Jack Main, my late mother Mary Main, my brother Josh, my sister Susan, and I, among many others, were blessed by his friendship. For myself, I am grateful for his saving me from drowning after my thoughtlessly jumping into Claytor Lake prior to learning to swim in 1956. W are all beneficiaries in some way of Wendell's kindness and service to his family, his community, and his country.
