Richard Michael Davis was called home to be with the Lord on.
July 10, 2023. Ricky/Mike was born in Franklin County, Virginia, on November 18, 1968, and was a graduate of George Wythe High School in Richmond, VA. He had various jobs throughout his life, including Greyhound bus driver, tractor and trailer truck driver and enlistment in the US Navy.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served faithfully until his passing. Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph Davis, Jr. ("Joe"); and Bertha Mae Davis.
Those left to cherish his memory: one brother, Joseph Anthony Davis, Sr., (Cyndi) ~ Tampa, Florida; one sister, Linda Cheryl Davis ~ Gum Spring, Virginia; niece, Breha Denise Barnes (Frank) ~ Plano, Texas; nephew, Joseph Anthony Davis, Jr., ~ Tampa, Florida; grand-nephew, Frank Miles Barnes IV ~ Plano, Texas; aunts, Shirlene Mease (John).
- Salem, Virginia, and Betty Jean Pettus ~ Martinsville, Virginia; uncle, Willie "Mickey" O'Neal (Sarah) ~ Rocky Mount, Virginia; and a host of cousins and other relatives.
There will be a Home-going Memorial on Friday, July 18, 2025, 12:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 510 Porter St, Blacksburg VA 24060.

I miss Rick everyday. He was a kind soul and helped everyone. He was my close friend and previous neighbor. I talk to him everyday since he passed. I loved hanging out for movie night at his place and eating greasy french fries and steaks with Toni. I have cried many days missing him. I am a better person for knowing him. He was a jack of all trades and helped remodel my house. I loved going on cruises with him and Toni. My favorite activity was going gambling with him frequently. He loved the dog track and casinos. I felt he was family. I was soo close to him and enjoyed many exciting adventures together. Some time we were mischievous and got in trouble with Toni. Which all three of us laughed it off together many times. He was a rock for Toni and gave the best advice to us all. I will miss him for my entire life. We lost a truly unique person that can not be replaced. I will love him always. I am thankful for all the fun times and great memories.

To the family of lil Ricky, we were saddened to hear of the passing of your brother. We are certain his parents along with his grandparents (Mr. & Mrs. O'Neal) were the first ones at the gates, when they opened wide to receive him home.
