I had the privilege of working with Rick over the past 15 years. He was very professional in his duties as a product service engineer. He was a pleasure to call and discuss drive system issues. He was always willing and eager to help a drives engineer in need, even a Canadian one eh! I will miss our technical conversations along with our similar automotive interests.
I did not realize that Rick was so active in his community but I’m not surprised!
Thanks Rick for all of your help in the past, you will be missed!!!!
My condolences to the Glosser family.

Maggie and family,
So sorry to learn of Rick's death. He was and will always be one of my favorite people. He was such an asset to our Religious Education Program at Holy Cross. I really missed him when you moved to Virginia. I always loved the way he referred to you as his red head. His love for you was so evident and refreshing! Know that all of you are in my prayers.

Maggie:
Every time I saw Rick he had a smile for me. Even if he was having a good or bad day he tried to put on that strong will and asked how are YOU. He was so strong and a great inspiration to me and to others. I will miss our "chats" and that way he touched my heart. Your name came up often during our conversations. I know he will contine to watch over you during these trying times.
Rick will always be in my heart,as will you.

"Ol' Fuzz" is what I called him. The name coming from the beard he'd grow from the "first snowflake in the Winter to the first bug in the Spring", as he said. I had the pleasure of working with Rick at GE Drives Product Service in Erie-- my first Engineering job. Rick taught me a lot about industry during those years. Most often he'd grab the nearest prop such as an empty soda can to represent the intended application be it paper mill, machine tool, or elevator. We didn't really have cubicles at Drives-- just partitions you could see through. From where I sat I could see Rick through a few plexiglass barriers. I learned a lot just by observing him as he sat between mountains of product user manuals and schematics with his sleeves rolled up and his feet up on that shelf thing you could pull out of your desk to write on.
I recall the days of working on "the addition" with him. We along with two other coworkers put the roof on during a freezing November rain. I don't know why I remember that day so well. I just do.
I lost contact with Rick over the years. I suppose that's not untypical when people move... but I still considered him to be a great friend. One of those friends where even though many years had passed you could sit down next to and pick up right where you left off.
Maggie- my condolences to you and family at this time.
