Richard Lee Ricks, 74, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
His Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Oakey's North Chapel. Interment will follow at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.Oakeys.com.

Such a sweet, quiet, and tenderhearted man : Whenever I was exercising at Green Ridge, Richard always took time to come to where I was to ask how I was that day.
He shared his adoration for his wife and desire to take care of her. Soft-spoken, gentle Richard will be missed.
