Rubye Davis Obituary

Rubye Rose Davis, 80, of Roanoke County, was called Home to be with The Lord in Heaven on June 27, 2009. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Heaven is blessed with a beautiful angel. Rubye was the daughter of the late Paul and Irene Rose. She is survived by her husband, Fred W. Davis; daughter, Susan Chau of Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Layman and Gary Greer of Salem;, her grandson, Shanon Chau and Shanon's father, Ty Chau, as well as other family members and friends including special church friends. Rubye will be fondly remembered by all that knew her for her loving nature and for her grace and strength. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Oakeys North Chapel, the Rev. Wally Newcomb officiating, burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Oakeys North Chapel. 540-362-1237.
