Ruth used to work with my Mom at C&P and they used to have so much fun together. My Mom always spoke so highly of Ruth and they had so many great memories together. I know she and Mom are rejoicing in heaven together and probably telling all kinds of stories.

Dear Mike and family. Ruth was one of the nicest ladies I have ever met. She always had a smile and kind words to say all the time. We met many years ago and some of that time was spent together living on same street. Those memories of taking our kids on summer vacation will last forever. Her spirit will live on and on.

Ruth and I have been friends from an early age growing up on the same neighborhood. She is a good friend and even though we didn't communicate a lot, when we talked it was like we had never missed a beat.

She was a wonderful person, had kind heart and a very important part of Addison class of '69. She is truly missed.

I've known Ruth all of my life and she was a very kind and pleasant person to be around. She also had a great sense of humor and we enjoyed many laughs. We started Harrison Elementary School together and I used to play with her, and others, on Staunton Ave in our formative years growing up. I always enjoyed seeing her at the Class of 1969 reunions and still vividly remember her touching comments at our 50th reunion in August 2019. Ruth and Mike were always happy together and clearly enjoyed each other's company. They will forever remain a very special couple. I will miss my good friend Ruth and pray that God grants her eternal peace and rest.

To Mike and family. I knew Ruthie for many years through family and friend connections, but I really came to know and love her after a celebration that we shared together in 2018. Since that time whenever we saw each other we had a bond. As you grieve her not being physically with us anymore, may you find comfort in the many memories shared as the blessed and favored family that you all are!

I was so deeply saddened to hear of dear Ruth's homegoing. She was such a lady of grace and class. She was a much needed stabilizing and calming presence for me when I was first hired & sat behind her. She made this awesome ham & dill pickle spread recipe I make to this day. I loved it when I got to see her at Old Salem Days in the same familiar location and buying chocolate pie and all the individually wrapped goodies you could only get if you came early. It was obvious the love she had for her Lord, her husband, and children. She was a true servant of the Lord volunteering her time and talent. To Mike and children, Ruthie made an indelible mark on my heart. I shall never forget the patience and kindness she treated me with as a new hire. It comforts me that the ones she loved and spoke so frequently of were surrounding her in the end. My prayers are lifting up for all of you during this difficult time.

Ruth Bowens.... " A QUIET WARRIOR!!!" We have known Ruth since elementary school days... What a wonderful, caring spirit who loved life... not just her immediate family, but was passionate about demonstrating love for her community at large, including our state, nation and world. Our world is a much better place because of Ruth. She always worked with others to do her part. Ruth lived a life filled with love, caring and sharing... We must HONOR her memory by vowing to do our part to continue her GREAT LEGACY! Many great Americans are written about in newspapers, magazines or often seen on TV. Ruth never sort that type of recognition... She was simply committed to doing her part, day in and day out, to CHANGE OUR WORLD. Ruth was TRULY A GREAT AMERICAN!!! She will live FOREVER in our hearts, minds, and souls...! Bowen family remember the GOOD TIMES and SMILE AGAIN...! We LOVE YOU...!!! Larry and Milton Brown( NOKE POWER when we STAND UNITED...!!!)
