Sarah Alpha Bowles Hardy

Sarah Alpha Bowles Hardy, of Roanoke, Va., passed into the everlasting love of Jesus Christ in the faith she lived before us all on Monday, November 30, 2009. Her survivors honor her in the grace she imparted to family and friends, forever blessed because of the life she lived among us in the victory of Christ. Semper Fidelis Granny. She is survived by her son, S. Earl Hardy; sisters, Nellie Bowles Gross and Mary L. Gibson; granddaughters; grandsons; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2009, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Robert Lanier officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
