Stella Emerson SHEETS

Stella Emerson Sheets, 85, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013, at her home in Chilhowie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bane and Charmie Emerson; her husband, Winifred Paul Sheets; and a brother, James Emerson. Survivors include two daughters, Martha Blevins and husband, Jackie, of Chilhowie, and Betty Sexton and husband, Tom, of Marion; grandchildren, Leigh Ann Hopkins and husband, Steve, of Chilhowie, Jennifer Barker and husband, Odie, of Chilhowie, Eric Blevins and wife, Kea, of Garner, N.C., Anna Graham and husband, Wayne, of Lexington, and Jennifer Fedorchuk and husband, Robert, of Marion; great-grandchildren, Will, Matthew, Katie, Eva, Ethan, Kaitlyn, Stella, Caroline, Cole, and Charlotte; sisters, Lena Carter and husband, Cecil, Maxine Fiorentino and husband, Frank, and Janet Thomas; brothers, Ralph Emerson, Raymond Emerson and wife, Jackie, Bruce Emerson and wife, Betty, and Larry Emerson and wife, Patsy; sisters-in-law, Carrie Martin and Nellie Emerson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2013, at the Grosses Creek Baptist Church with Pastor George Jessee officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013, in the Grosses Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday prior to the funeral service at the church.
