I am sorry to share with you the passing of good friend, and one the best Managers I ever worked with and lucky enough to hire him when he first came to Texas. He certainly was the Best of the Best!
Although he has gone to a better place, he will be missed in this life!

Sorry to hear this. Steve hired me at Hertz – I can still recall our first conversation. He asked me what shift I would be available to work and I told him any hours, any shift, any day of the week. From that day forward I would say we had a great relationship.

Thinking of his son's and wife –

Steve,
I miss writing you notes and sending you talking animal cards every day; I am so blessed to have reconnected with you a few years ago and get to know a bit about your loving Virginia family. Oh Steve, I know how proud you are of your sisters...they love you immensely and miss you so....everyone whose life you touched is forever changed by your wonderful spirit and courage on 'the battle field' with 'the beast'. I love you Steve and will wish upon the stars nightly for your peaceful journey home to other loved ones waiting to hug and welcome you. It is their turn to have you but whether you are here or there; you are so loved by us all. I love you Steve.

Kathy, Stephen,& Joe, I write this note to you today with a heavy heart filled with sadness over the tremendous loss of Steve. I know you all have been through so much pain during his illness. Kathy, I fondly recall the joy he found in being married to the love of his life and how much he admired your work ethic and the partnership you enjoyed. He was so in love with you. Stephen & Joe, being your Dad was the most wonderful thing in the world to him. He cherished every moment he spent with the two of you at your ballgames, playing golf, mowing grass, or just hanging out together. He looked forward to cooking dinner for you guys and he was so proud to be your Dad. I am a better person for knowing him. Thanks for the memories...Rest in Peace my friend! Love & Prayers May God Bless each of you with strength.
